Optimism

Hello peoples!! I am here I promise. Still adjusting to what is called the 'real world', and in the new world I am not sure if I am stronger, faster, or better, but I will continue to make the effort. You never know where you are really going to end up in this world. I have come to find out that the hard way I suppose. My goal is to stay positive while I can still create the notion.

Still Sketching when I find time! I find it more therapeutic now a days. I felt so afraid of drawing in a sketchbook after school, unfortunately, I felt as though I had something to prove with each page. The idea alone kept me stagnate. From now on with each 'personal' drawing I do I will have to find a away to break the habits in my thinking. Over all I will have to find away to have fun again.
This was a promo piece That just didn't make the cut unfortunately. I would get into detail but I'm sure it will reach the surface sooner then later.

I never really touched on character design. Having fun with it now a days. Hopefully I will not be too lazy and up load more of it. =)

Follow Through

The light at the end of the tunnel isn't so dim. I'm keeping myself busy with good tunes, good ink, and an endless amount of heart. I am hoping thats enough. Here are some sketches and warm ups from the past week or so. There is more but I will have to show case that another time. I am excited about this project I can't show or talk about at the moment. Everything comes in good time. I'm learning what patience really is. Hope you guys stick around for the aftermath, but until then be easy and thanks for stopping by.

Trying Different Things.

In all my four years of art training you would think I would understand the value of a dollar. That is beside the point of the today's sharing. Like I have said before, to those who follow my blog, I am just beginning to understand color, color combinations, and most importantly photoshop. I started a piece a week or so ago and saw that I didn't finish it(not new for me). However, I finally was able to use a scanner which surprising inspired me to finish the project. I wanted to make something "fun" and "clean". I stress clean and fun because these are things I am not known for. I tend to get ink all over my finger tips and some how manage to avoid hospital visits from the ink fights I get myself into, which leads to dark and sometimes uncanny images. Along side this personal project of mine I have noticed that the work that I get now is more demanding of fluidity, but not the usual crash, boom, tada, that I usually perform which is mainly self-propelled by instinctual mark making (which is a elaborate way of saying I don't know what I am doing most of the time). At first I was put off by the idea that I am changing it up so early out of college, but then I realized that I could use some verity, and this is the hard part to me about freelance thus far: Trying to find the motivational part of a project that might not seem so enthusiastic. Do I have the answer? heck no! haha! But while I try to figure it out a sugar free answer I hope you enjoy my update.

This image is in progress (Hint: The one I didn't finish). These are just a couple of close ups. Thanks for stoppin' by and reading my ramble! be easy amigos!

A Lot At One Time

So as you can see I have been lacking with the updates. I am just going to lay down some sketchbook stuff, because my scanner is small enough to fit these pages in it. I was told by a buddy of mine that when you are having motivational problems you should focus on drawing subject matter that interest you; that you know for a fact you enjoy drawing. I find that to be true for me when I draw portraits. It use to be bikes, but now it's definitely portraits! I have more to post but this will have to do for now. Hope you enjoy! thanks for stoppin' by amigos

Sketchbook Dumpin'

A promise is a promise. I decided that since my freelance demands what I usually post, I would work and post things that feel different from what I get paid to do. I have rediscovered my sketchbook by-the-way. Hope you like what you see! There will be more to post. Maybe tomorrow? Thanks for stoppin by

WHAT's New

So I am officially out of school as of last week. There is alot of steps to take to get to where I want to be artistically, mentally, and emotionally. I haven't given myself much time to settle down lately, but I sort glad. fingers are crossed. lets hope for the best. until my best comes around you guys will have to settle for this.

The top panel is from a personal project I will be continuing for the next couple years . I not ready to distribute any real information on this project, but if you stick around long enough on my journey you all will see it. hopefully ;p. the others are sketchbook pages. enjoy

~be easy and thanks for the support!
